IJAW SINGLES FORUM (ISF) CELEBRATES ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY.


The Ijaw Singles Forum (ISF), a non governmental organization, which constitute of male and females yet to get married held it's one year anniversary on Saturday 6th of July at Sagbama Town of Bayelsa state.

The group was created by a young and vibrant youth in Ijaw nation, Engr. Alex Ebibotei Sunday from Arogbo Kingdom in Ese-Odo local government Area of Ondo state.

While addressing the audience at the program,Alex Ebibotei Sunday acknowledged that Ijaw nation is unique and therefore must be truthful and honest one with another.

He further stressed that the group was created in order to promote institutionalized union between the Ijaws.

According to him, "the group was created to necessitate the promotion of Ijaw marriages in the society as many finds it difficult to engage themselves."

The event was packed with lots of activities such as distribution of mosquito nets by Ijaw Singles Forum (ISF) to residents in the community, and skill acquisition programs which cuts across married and singles in Sagbama town.

The General Secretary of the group, Mr Mumbor Happy also speaking at the event said for people to travel from far and near to the anniversary indicate how important Ijaw Singles Forum (ISF) is actively committed to promoting Ijaw marriages.

Mr. Mumbor Happy stressed that the group is a platform to bring ijaw youths together and moving Ijaw nation forward by promoting its values and morals.

"The group's task is to foster intra marriage amongst the Ijaws. All Ijaw singles, regardless of race and circumstances should achieve their full potentials," he added.

Some interesting activities where put in place to spice up the event, which included members of Ijaw Singles Forum (ISF) familiarizing themselves Ijaw girls, dance competition, the fastest finger(loading of recharge cards) and lots more.

Some of the State Coordinators who attended the Program includes; Bayelsa State chapter coordinated by, Miss Eyi emomotimi Sophia; Abuja chapter coordinated by Miss Lucy Ebi fadomo; Edo State chapter coordinated by Mr. Mumbor Happy Blessed, and also the General Secretary of ISF; Rivers State chapter coordinated by prince Ogolo; Ondo State chapter coordinated by Mr. Frank Victor Ayemi Iteli; and Lagos chapter coordinated by Okuboere Faith.

As the event arrived its conclusion, Engr. Alex appreciated everyone who made out time out of their busy schedules to make the program a success and also those who contributed financially and spiritually.

He said that what they did for the one year anniversary would always linger in his heart.
